We are a group of people, all with some experience in making research, now working in research institutions, SMEs and in industry, interested in various aspects of applied informatics, especially in its applications in enterprise management.
The purpose of our group is to integrate people interested in human-computer interaction in computer-aided systems of production management.
We believe that in time of globalization such an integration research efforts within country as well as within Europe is a need of the moment.
In our work we meet computer programs applied in enterprise management, information transfer or internet communication. Our research interests locate at the gap between theory and practice of software design, production and exploiting. Usually software is produced according to assumed functional requirements making it plays desired role in the enterprise management. The problem of a customer satisfaction (by the customer we understand here both the customer of the enterprise and the software user employed by the enterprise) is usually treated marginally.
In our opinion, to obtain good software, in the design stage, one should take into account both the user-friendly interface of applications (here usability engineering takes its role) and well-understood optimality of application. The optimality here is not only an usual in such a situation multi-criterial one, where the criteria are technological, economic, environmental, etc. The software producer must guarantee satisfaction of a particular software user, taking into account sociological and physiological circumstances and even habits of individuals.
The purpose of our activity is both work on general procedures of software evaluation making it user-friendly as well as preparation of certain software applications (ERP+CRM class, processes scheduling, etc.) well-adopted for individual users needs..
